How it works

So a couple days ago my boyfriend's sister asks me a question.  This of which I didn't expect.  She asked if when gay people meet that if its just purely sexual.  I told her that its absolutely untrue.  Its like any other couple.  Some people meet on an absolute sexual basis and some meet in an emotional way.  The way she reacted seemed like she thought that was untrue.

I know that when I met my boyfriend that I connected to him very much so on an emotional basis than sexual.  Sexual came later, but I know for a fact that I love him on an emotional level.  I just love that.  He is so important to me emotionally.   We always just talked non-sexual to eachother, and just talking to him gave me the craziest butterflies.

What I can't make straight people realize is that its no different from a straight relationship.  I don't want my boyfriend for sex, I want him because he is the person that swept me off my feet.  The one who made my heart skip a beat, or made butterflies take control of my body.  I love the man I'm with and I am positive I will even after the day I die.  It isn't lust, its love.  I will never think differently.
